What is PDF imposition?
Imposition is the printing step that arranges several document pages onto a single larger sheet
so they end up in the right order after printing and folding. A printed sheet isn't the same as a
finished page — one sheet can hold many pages, on both sides, and they're rarely in simple
1‑2‑3 order. Slipgrid focuses on N-up duplex imposition: it tiles your pages across
a grid, scales each one to fit while preserving its aspect ratio, pads any leftover cells on the
last sheet with blanks, and mirrors the back-side rows so two-sided printing aligns perfectly.
